Have a fucking new year!!

And no I'm not referring to the anatomical experiences caused by the excess of alcohol inducing lack of judgement.....

Funny ain't it? Everyone expects a scrooge at Christmas, but never a downer on new years?

Well lots of things have been happening past few days, and seems to be adding up to the irritation and rumblings beneath the (hopefully) peaceful exterior display on my part. Somehow, something happened today that has pissed me off (as if that's something new), which incidentally I'm not gonna bitch about. Nope. What i am going to contribute via verbal diarrhea is the theme of what pisses me off. Politics.

Y? u ask, and you should. Well I'm not just referring to the type that rules this nation, or the small part of land that I live and work in. It's all kind of politics. Fucked is an expression i can only use so many times, and yet it just doesn't show how i really feel.

Family politics, work-place politics and even politics-politics leaves me speechless at times. (the other times include me pulling out my hair, scratching my head, gouging out my eyes, etc .. you get the drift). But really, is it REALLY THAT difficult?

Families talk , but don't say anything, but also everything. Relatives ask and query but end up accusing. Can't anyone just live by living anymore? Friends get hurt when you don't call, but when was the last they picked up the phone? Colleagues do, but then don't like it when it's done to them. Peers act and yet feel you shouldn't be affected by these actions, when they would? So?

And the elected ones? how have the messed up 2008? where do I start, and if i do where can i end? world economics is in shambles, and yet these fellows are more interested in racial and money politics? they encourage freedom of speech and individuality, but cannot guarantee your freedom after speech (took that line from a hero of mine), unless of course, your speeches are pro-them? they spent hundreds of millions buying submarines and sending up a space tourist instead of getting basic integrated public transport and public facilities in proper working order? why build the world's tallest twin towers when the people have no sense of lining up? why? why have international level sport meets when the grassroots themselves are failing? why comment and throw opinions on every world crisis and terrorist act when the children of our communities can't even walk across the street safely to the playground, let alone play in a playground (seen any lately)? why advocate tourism and woo investors when we can't even get our drivers to behave or even learn to drive properly? they aim for international recognition with cheap gimmicks, when living costs are getting dearer?

well those who are more politically educated would preach to me that there is no clean politics, and only dirty politicians. agreed. but I'd rather have a politician who charges me high taxes, skims some off the top, but still fights for my rights, and provides all the basic necessities and amenities.

So what can i look forward for in 2009? nothing. cos anything wouldn't surprise me, and i feel that if i just pass the days without expectations, anything god will be a bonus for me. I only want to be a better husband to my wife, a better son to my parents, a better friends to those i call my friends, and a better person in my life. Can I? who knows. will i? i guess that remains to be seen.
